Children, Soc Trang.

Outside of the two main cities, people hadn’t seen foreigners or white people for many years or, in the case of children, ever. We were of great curiosity wherever we went, never more so than with the local children, whose energy and playfulness is evident as they surround us while exploring the village of Soc Trang by bike.

Vietnamese have a strong entrepreneurial culture. From cigarettes to dried mango, black eggs or sticky rice, here on the bus to Nga Trang local teenagers have fun trying to sell their wares to us.
